Magical nights and reminders!
Posted by: MusicalAnime on Sunday, May 24, 2009 (20:49:39)
Happy holiday everyone!

I wanted to post a thank you to everyone who helped plan, set-up, and attend the ball that occurred Saturday night. I don't think I could have had a more amazing night! The ball was pure fun! Thank you to everyone who attended this new Jmac event and danced the night away with us! Please don't forget to share your thoughts about the ball with board members! By knowing what you want and think, we can keep improving the event for the future!

Also remember that there is NO JMAC today, Monday May 25th. It is Memorial Day!

Next Monday, June 1st will be our last meeting of the year. We invite you to come and tell us your thoughts about spring quarter, vote on running series for fall, and so much more!

Even though our last meeting is on the first, the last Jmac event for the school year will be June 5th! Remember to join us for Friday night movie night!

Your president in dancing shoes,

Elaine

About Monday's meeting...
Posted by: MusicalAnime on Saturday, March 28, 2009 (21:39:20)
Hello everyone!

So as break draws to a close... people begin to realize that we start classes on Monday (say it isn't so...) and that means Jmac begins again. Most of you received an e-mail from the wonderful and handsome Ben saying that we are meeting in the student center and going on an outing to Chinatown. I'm making this post to help explain why there was a sudden change in plan. I want to help clear up some confusion.

Basically, there was difficulty finding space in the student center for our normal meeting. March 30th was the only date we could not find space for in the student center or any other "social" buildings. As a backup plan, we attempted to reserve a room in SAC. It wasn't until very recently that we found out that because of classes, we could not meet in SAC on a Monday night.

In the past, what happened was when Jmac did not have meeting space, we went on an outing instead. That tradition carries on to this Monday the 30th (yatta!) I personally apologize for all the confusion and inconvenience. This was something that was out of the control of the board as well as myself. We still want to bring you a chance to socialize and spend time with your fellow Jmac members! I know that there is a lot of catching up to do since we've been on break for the past week!

Again, I apologize for the last minute change in plan. Rest assured that Jmac has rooms booked in the student center for the rest of spring quarter. Next week we will be showing Get Backers as well as Black Lagoon.

I hope you can join us for Chinatown! I'm looking forward to seeing everyone on Monday!

Elaine
